Are you in need of a makeover?

Good morning, the sun is shining, the rain has stopped for now and it’s all good!!   I hope all of you are having a incredible summer and are getting outside and enjoying the summer outdoors.

I’ve been working hard at cleaning and working around the house as we haven’t done anything in the 18 years of living here in Osceola.  I finally finished painting the deck and 200 spindels later I was happy to get that done.  I told Mary that’s the last deck I ever paint.  From here on out I’m going to do a little maintence yearly around the house.

Not being a painter I had no idea how detailed orientated and time consuming it was going to be.  I would be out there by 6 am and it was so quiet and peaceful.  You can do a lot of thinking while you are painting.  The end result is that it really needed a makeover and now looks like a new one.

Sometimes we need a makeover with our body and mind.  Some may haven’t done much for years and years and need a complete makeover, and some just need a touch up.  Trust me, the touch up is much easier then the complete.  That’s why I always recommend coming in for periodic check ups fo ryour spine and nervous system since I can catch things before they get symptomatic, you will feel great and like a car you don’t want to wait until the red lights come on.  I’ve been getting adjusted weekly for the last 35 years and it helps me be a better athlete, keeps me still competing, helps me sleep better, helps me manage my stress better, and generally helps my overall outlook on life.

I'm getting help with the landscaping project

I’ve had a few episodes in my life where I’ve neglected my body and sometimes stuff just happens and then I needed the complete makeover.  My first bad disc was when I turned 40 and that was pure hell. Felt like I was doing everything right but all the adjustments I give over the years finally caught up to me.  I wish I would have had the spinal decompression machine I have now.  That works like a charm for back and neck issues.

Now if you or a loved one has some kind of a chronic condition that developed over years it’s going to take in all aspects of your life to get you where you need to be.  You have to eat different to help the metabolic side of your condition, you have to move better to support the structural and functional side of your body, and you have to basically get a new paradigm on how you think or else nothing will change.  Change and compliancy to a new way of living can be really hard but people do it and have great success.  I’ll be posting a video on my you tube and facebook channel today of a patient who has lost 45 pounds since February first.  It’s so cool to see her get healthy and see her life change in such a positive way.

You to can have success with your health.  If you need a complete makeover or just a little touch up then I’m here to assist you in any way possible.  All you have to do is give me a jingle or email me.

Ok, make it the best day ever!!

Congrats to all my patients who did the Grandma’s marathon this past Saturday.  What an achievement that is!!

Double nickels for this young lady

  • Are your weekends exciting?

Wow, what a great week and weekend I had.  It was highlighted by my friend Bob Sudler who came up from Miami for business and was able to come up and spend some time with Mary and I in the St. Croix Valley.  Bob's a great guy and I'm so appreciative that he called me a year ago for the Gopher reun
  • Should you go gluten free? Why, and how.

When I talk to patients about going gluten free and giving up some of the foods they truly cherish it can be difficult for them at times.  I try to explain to them that it is not only for people who have been diagnosed with celiac's disease which is a terrible condition where the villi of the stoma
  • Money and your health.

Well it was a very sad day when the Riverbank shut it's doors, FDIC came in and Central Bank out of Stillwater took over. I drove by at 5:40 on that black friday and had a sick feeling in my stomach since I know so many people who have dedicated themselves to the Riverbanks success. I never thou
  • Mother nature knows what to do.

I had an incredible weekend of tons of great x-skiing, march madness, end of the year x-ski party, and hanging with the family. I saw something I had never seen before and was in awe of how mother nature works. I skied by an open field and spooked 2 bald eagles who flew over to a tree with 4 m
  • Healthcare, will it change with republicans in it?

OK, we are done with elections and people wanted change when you see Jim Oberstar a 18 term Democrat getting beat and in Wisconsin a well respected senator Russ Feingold getting the boot.  The main change people want is a better economy and more jobs. What about Healthcare?  Jom Boehner wants a
