Compete on and off the track.

Mary and I have had a blast watching the boys and girls track team here in Osceola.  The sectional meet was last friday and it is great to see kids competing.

Some kids are injured, some kids are sick, some kids are nervous, some are confident.  You never quite know what will happen at a track meet.  One thing I observed was no matter what was going on in their mind or their body these kids competed and brought it.

Sports are where kids learn to compete.  They will need this when they are on their own and have to deal with all the things that occur in life like maybe making a living, a job, marriage, raising kids, working with others.

Every day life is a little bit of a competition.  You have to show up, practice, craft your skills, and do your best.  There is always someone out there who is probably doing more or who is better, but if you give it your all that’s all you can ask of your self.

I think sometimes with our health we all take it for granted and we don’t do a great job of taking care of our selves until a crisis hits, or you aren’t feeling so hot, or you can’t seem to do the things you used to.

The incredible thing is if you start eating really clean foods, start moving your body, and have a better attitude your body and mind can get better.

I’ve been doing a ton of weight loss in the clinic and people have been losing weight, tons of inches, and are feeling the best they have in years.  It’s very simple strategies of getting back to the basics with fundamentals of  being healthy.

The bottom line is with being healthy, competing in sports or life is how bad do you want it?  Are you willing to put the time, energy, discipline, and perhaps some money into your health and well being?

Anytime you put energy in to your health the rewards will come back sooner than later and last a long time if you keep at it.

Sometimes set backs do occur and it’s how you respond to those set backs that determines your success.  Hang  in there and keep moving forward.

Believe in yourself.  Others believe in you!!

You can do it!!

Until next time, don’t let a rainy day get you down and keep you from achieving what ever you want.  Dr. E

P.S.  Mary and I will be down in LaCrosse for the state track meet friday and saturday.  I believe the running events do not start until 3 so we will have our normal hours on friday.  Congrats to all the Osceola track athletes.  The girls won the sectionals and we have a bunch of kids going.  Big shout out to Riley Edling for going in the 4×100.

P.S.P.S.  Osceola boys baseball takes on St. Croix Falls here tomorrow 5pm.  Should be a good one.

  • Giving it your all.

This past Saturday the Osceola Chieftains played their hearts out in a tough loss to the Medford team. The kids took the loss tough but you know when you give it your all there is nothing to feel bad about. Tears were flowing by everyone after the game. It hurts to lose when you give it your all.
