Mother nature knows what to do.

I had an incredible weekend of tons of great x-skiing, march madness, end of the year x-ski party, and hanging with the family.

I saw something I had never seen before and was in awe of how mother nature works.

I skied by an open field and spooked 2 bald eagles who flew over to a tree with 4 more bald eagles.  I then spotted a huge coyote in the middle of the field looking at me.  I then saw 2 young dead fawns and the probable mother of them looking at them from about 50 yards away.   I couldn’t figure what was going on.  The coyote and eagles were hungry that’s for sure but I was mystified as to how they were killed.  There are so many deer at Rock creek farm that I would think the herd would be able to take care of a few coyotes.

At the ski party later in the afternoon my good friend Greg Mikunda said the doe sometimes abort the fetus when they are stressed.  It’s been a terrible long winter for the deer and I’m sure the coyotes have been chasing them all winter long also.  This made perfect sense to me then I was blown away by the power of mother nature. Those bald eagles were huge.

Ski season is coming to an end.  A big thanks to team cyclova and Danny Kahn for hosting the end of hte season party at his super cool house in Rice Lake.

The animals out in the woods have to survive and prosper or they get eaten by their fellow neighbors in the woods.  We also have to take really great care of our self’s or we break down and get some form of sickness over time.  We were not designed for sickness.  We were designed to prosper with good health.  Stress, poor nutrtion, and lack of exercise creates sickness.  The good news is that even small changes in diet and exercise can make a huge impact on your overall health.  Try eliminating gluten and dairy for a month in your diet and see the changes.  How about 20 minutes of brisk walking, or some body weight exercises daily for 5 minutes.  Do this over time and be conssitant and it will pay off.

One of the things that is often overlooked is emotional stress.  If you are in an environment that is bad it can be really tough to be healthy.  There is no perfect world out there but constant emotional stress, financial stress, can be devastating for your long term health.  These must be addressed and somethimes this can be the hardest thing to change.

Do your best.  Give your self time to heal.  It took years to lose your health and healing takes time, simple as that.

Well, the Badgers played an incredible second half against Oregon Saturday night.  Do you think they can beat that Baylor team thursday night?  It’s going to be tough.

Until next time, Go Bucky!!

25 years ago yesterday I graduated from Chiropractic school. I can't believe how fast that went. I'm still in the trenches practicing Chiropractic with passion and learning daily how to treat my patients better with neurological and metabolic care. The bottom line over 25 years is that the only t

A happy 2013 to you!  I'm so excited about the start of every new year.  What I like best is about the New Year are the hopes and dreams that come with it.  I love the structure of eating better, moving my body through the woods cross country skiing, and being as positive as I can in light of eve

I'm going to officially say that spring is here.  I judge that by not only how wonderful the sun feels on my face but when my ski's start to get mushy in the snow I know it's jsut a matter of time and there won't be any more snow to ski on.  OK, the Birkie is done for this year, so now I can f

I was out in Montana last week for Connors orientation to Montana State and what impressed me was how informed I was as to the process of what to expect in detail for him over the next four years.  Parents were so informed it reassured me big time.  I also was impressed on how healthy the Bozeman
