Count your blessings through the thick and thin of life.
I was watching the Oklahoma tornadoes yesterday live on CNN between patients and then last night watching it was such an incredible tragedy. I can’t believe there wasn’t more people killed, and those poor kids in the schools. Count your blessings each and every day for everything that comes your way. Sometimes I think life gets so crazy and I lose focus on what’s really important, faith, family, friends, and your health.
Faith, there is so much unknown out there, and life has so many ups and downs that for me it’s my faith that gets me through all the daily stressors.
Family, as dysfunctional as we all can be, when it all comes down to it, they really have your back.
Friends, they come and go through out our life but there are usually a handful who stick with you through thick and thin.
Health, if you haven’t got it it can be a rough journey through life. If you have it and can function optimally you then can live a high quality of life.
The greatest threat I see to one’s health is the belief that someone else or something else is going to take care of it for you. In this day and age if you think your insurance company has your best interests you have another thing coming. More out of pocket expenses, higher deductibles, and co-pays and much less coverage. This will only get worse. Your best bet is to improve on your diet, get regular exercise, good sleep, and have a great attitude. Regular Chiropractic adjustments are imperative for a great functioning spine and nervous system also. Don’t let yourself break down because it can take some major work and investment to get it back. The little steps each and very day to improve your health can go a long ways at improving your total quality of life.
Ok, that’s it for this week, congrats to all the area graduates and all the high school kids in their sports. Go cheer these young student athletes on.
Also, I was 0-2 against the Braves last Wednesday night. My first at bat was ugly. My second at bat I made contact and just about beat out a grounder. I’ll see you at an Osceola Braves game!! Dr. E
