5 secrets to optimize your health right now.

A patient asked me the other day what are the top 5 things they could do for their health if they don’t have any symptoms, just wanted to improve on their health. The first thing I said was she must be doing pretty good because most people are on some form of medication for a lifestyle type of condition like statin drugs for high cholesterol, blood pressure meds, prilosec for ant-acid, and a list of things I could go on and on. Here is my list, short and simple, and incredibly beneficial.

1. Get adjusted to keep your spine align and keep the neurology of your body-mind working optimally. I see bad degenerative spines all day long and trust me, you don’t want to go there.

2. Clean diet. I tell everyone to go gluten free. Grains are inflammatory to your body. You want to deflame your body by eating much more veggies. No breads, pastas, cut the dairy while you are at it. Your aches and pains will diminish and you will lose weight big time if needed.

3. Move your body. Combine strength training with aerobic activities. I’m 50 and I’ve cut back on the endurance and do fat busting resistance body weight exercises and I’m telling you 12 minutes of those 3x week is a hell of a great workout.

4. Keep your mind body functioning optimally by getting adjusted on a regular basis. If you do the above the adjustments really pay off. We all have stress and a great de-stressor is an adjustment.

5. Count your blessings. Be thankful and grateful knowing how blessed we all are everyday. Also, get on a good fish oil. We have some great fih oils at our clinic. Everyone needs these essential fatty acids. Your brain is made up of fat and you better be getting this form of fat in your diet.

Football is here

The Osceola football team had their first scrimmage and they looked pretty good. We will find out friday night when they play my alma mater. Kids are getting dinged up this time of year and adjustments are great for recovery. The volleyball team looks good. The new coach is working them hard. Look for the Chieftains to have a great year. The cross country, tennis, girls golf and boys soccer are looking good. Get out and support these kids.

Congrats to the Osceola Braves for an outstanding and entertaining year. Although they didn’t win at state they can be proud of themselves. Having the Braves here is a great family and community event . Thanks for a great year.

We are having great results with our weight loss and peripheral neuropathy patients. Ok, school is right around the corner. The MN state fair starts this week, and football games start this fridy. It doesn’t get much better than that. Until next time, be disciplined and follow my top 5 above and you will be heading towards optimal health! Dr. E
