How do you know if you are healthy or not just sick? | Edling Chiropractic

How do you know if you are healthy or not just sick?

I think most people think they are pretty healthy. Oh, they may think it’s normal to have headaches, back pain, and sore extremities, or it’s just normal to feel like you are getting old.

I see people daily who have these complaints and many other chronic complaints and I’m telling you it is not normal to wake up with headaches, feel exhausted, and feel like crap and have to get a cup of coffee just to get going.

It’s not normal to have these chronic complaints. What causes them is physical, chemical, and emotional stressors. Basically it is our lifestyle. Can’t blame our genes for everything. If you have some genetic predisposition then you really have to take great care of yourself.

Pools is open this weekend

At our clinic this is how I everyone that comes in. Structurally, neurologically and metabolically.

Structurally means their posture, what their x-rays look like, where their joints are malfunctioning, muscles imbalances

Neurologically I’m looking at how the nervous system is functioning. Is the brain balanced between the right and left sides, is the autonomic system(nerves to organs and glands), the nerves to muscles working ok, and what you feel the sensory part of the nervous system is only 10% of the nervous system. Interesting how we base how we feel on only 10% of the nervous system. We forget about the other 90%

Metabolically, do you have an auto-immune condition, do you have blood sugar/adrenal issues, are you anemic, how is your Gastro-intestinal/liver function doing, hormonal imbalances, and fatty acid metabolism. Their are a wide variety of tests that should be done but your doctor is not doing them most likely. I do these and look at all aspects of your health.

If you want to find out why you really feel the way you do then all three of these areas need to be addressed if you want to get your mind body working optimally, not just feeling good.

I’m 50 now and it is so common to see people my age and younger functioning like their 70’s. Don’t buy into the old age, this is normal to feel like this, it is not! I’m still competing and beating people half my age in races. I’ve got a bad knee, bad back, but I still show up and make it happen. If I didn’t take action with my health I’d really feel like crap and probably just give into this is how it is going to be. No way Jose!!

OK, enough of the lecture, take action by stopping the procrastination. Get out and move your body, eat great foods(no gluten please), and great thinking. If you want to know more about the metabolic and neurological testing I do just email me or give me a jingle. It’s really the missing link for chronic health conditions. Until next time, don’t let the rain get you down. Dr. E

  • Sounds like a lot going on. First you can do nothing about the past, just focus on this moment and move forward. Gluten free for sure, give it a shot for 4 weeks and see how much better you feel. I love the repairviite diet which I teach in my clinic. Call me if you want and I can discuss your case with you. 715-294-3100

  • Swine flu, another paralysis by analysis?

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB5-Y08qbjo] I couldn't have said it much better. There are many more things to fear than the swine flu.  How about our behaviors on how we eat, move, and think? Those are what either create disease and pathology over time or create health, abundance, and a
