Investing in your health is great prevention

Tis the season for planning next years financials for your health. Many companies change plans from year to year and the good news is that while I may not be on your plan we have affordable options for you so you can get the care you want and need and you can continue to have a relationship with someone who works with you to continue optimizing your health potential.

I do not belong to any HMO’s because I can not deliver the care you want and need and still be in business. If you are a business owner you would not want to be held hostage by rules and regulations particularly when it comes to your health. Most of the plans put limits on visits and amount paid out, basically they sell you a bill of goods and when it comes to what you need you aren’t going to get it. They cover a handful of visits for acute care only. A majority of my practice is chronic conditions which take time, frequency, and intensity of care and this is not allowed.

The best health is one of pro-active steps done daily to achieve over ti me better health each and every year. It doesn’t have to be so difficult if you practice simple strategies of healthy living. Like, limiting all grains and replacing those with tons of veggies, meats, and fish preferarbly organic free range versus grass feed. Regulation of blood sugar is vital. I see epidemic blood sugar problems daily. There is no pill that is going to fix a bad lifestyle.

Look for upcoming workshops on weight loss. Everyone wants it but doesn’t know how to lose it and keep it off safely and healthy. Working on lecture now. I’ll keep you posted.

Winter is here. Get the ski’s out, get the snowshoes out, and start moving the body. If you haven’t done so, check out the new bike and ski store in St. Croix Falls called cyclovaxc. They have fantastic equiptment and I know these guys perosnally, they will take great care of you.

I was so excited yesterday to see the big 8 point buck behind my house. What a beauty. I can’t beleive he made it through the deer hunting season. What a rack he will have next year if he doesn’t get hit by a car on 35.

Congrats to Lincoln Howard who has successfully completed his ARP training in our office. This is our accelerated Recovery Performance program. Lincoln had a devastating hip dislocation 10 weeks ago and is back averaging double figures in 3 games so far. Way to go Lincoln. This works great not only on acute sports injuries but chronic ongoing problems also.

Congrats also to the wisconsin Badgers for winning the first annual Big 10 championship over the Spartans of Michigan State. I actually thought the Badgers got outplayed but the only thing that matters is that they won. They will have their hands full with Oregons speed.

Make it a great day and get outside and enjoy winter. It only last 4 months. Dr. E

  • Successful start to your day.

I bet most of you got to bed a little late last night if you watched the entire Packer Viking blowout. I was in bed by end of 3rd quarter. Riley had 6 am basketball practice this morning, and even though I thought the Vikes defense looked good at times they are no match for Rodgers and that Packer
