Uncomplicated solutions for declining health.

I just got back from Orlando florida from a neurometabolic conference and it totally blew me away from the presenters and research on how to slow down the cascade of inflammation in our bodies, slow and reverse neurodegenerative diseases such as parkinsons, alzheimers, auto-immune diseases, etc.

How you may ask can that be possible? First you need to realize there is nothing you can do about your past. Secondly, there is something you can do from this moment on, and thirdly you can either express your genes in a good way and slow down the neurodegeneration or speed it up depending on how you live your life.

The biggest environmental hazard to our bodies is the foods that we eat. The typical standard american diet is one that will lead you down the road to heart disease, cancer, and neurodegeneration. The standard american diet will cause inflammation which your body is doing the right thing by inflaming itself. Do this for years and disease will follow. The time to prevent this is with our children NOW. First of all this starts by each of us cleaning our diet up. This means eliminating the most inflammatory foods from our diet. What are the 2 most inflaming food groups you eat? Grains, and dairy. Most common neurodegenerative disorders are caused by chronic underlying inflammation. Want your back pain to go away, clean the diet up. Want your brain to work better, clean your diet up and eliminate these inflammatory foods. What can you eat? Meat, chicken fish,(make these organic) tons of veggies, and stone fruits which are tough to get so add blueberries. Snack with nuts and seeds between meals if you can tolerate them.

If you really want to find out if you have gluten or dairy sensitivity, if you have antibodies to your own tissue which means every time you eat certain foods your own immune system attacks itself and destroys tissue which you better hope it’s not the brain, and if you have intestinal permeability problems(leaky gut), this will lead to a break in the blood brain barrier and lead to brain fog and a variety of neurological disorders over time, then I would recommend you come in and get the testing done at my office. I use cyrex labs. Check their website www.cyrexlabs.com It is well worth the investment if you want to know exactly where you are at.

We’ve started doing the ARP treatment at our clinic. ARP stands for accelerated recovery performance. I just got a phone call from Caitlin Compton who won the American Birkiebeiner and was 6th place at the Vancouver Olympics saying after one treatment she is pain free for the first time since July 9th of this summer. she also took 2 minutes off a 10 kilometer time trial which is unheard of. This has been exceeding my expectations. While everyone heals differently, the few we have ARP’d so far have had impressive results.

Sad day for Big 10 football when you hear what is going on at Penn State. Joe Paterno should resign or be fired. This has been known about since 1999, and nothing was done. He should have gone past was he legally obligated to do.

Big game in Minneapolis between Badgers and Gophers. Look for the Gophers to give Bucky a good game, but the Badgers should prevail by 21. It’s always a great rivalry, and the Paul Bunyon Ax is at stake. The ax weighs quite a bit. When I played there was no rubber ends around it, just plane old steel ax. Lucky no one got killed by the ax.

The bottom line, if you have toxic emotions, intestinal pathogens, hormonal imbalances, food sensitivities or allergies, mold exposure, heavy metal toxicities, structural imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, compromised detox systems, leaky gut, then you need to get checked by the testing I do. Your M.D. isn’t going to do these tests. It’s a bit pricey but you will know what is finally going on with you, and what needs to be done to get and keep your health.

Have a great week and I look forward to hearing from you.
